Artist Name: Robert Kushner
Robert Kushner (b. 1949, Pasadena, CA) is an internationally recognized painter and printmaker. His work has appeared at the Whitney Museum of American Art, National Gallery of Art, and The Brooklyn Museum of Art. Throughout his thirty-year career, Mr. Kushner's work has been concerned with the concept of beauty.
Mr. Kushner synthesizes influence from European and American Modernism (such as the work of Edouard Manet and Georgia O'Keeffe), as well as from traditional Chinese and Japanese painting. Vivid, lavish, and optimistic, Kushner's work conveys directness, honesty, and spontaneity. The dynamic sensuality of his technique makes the flowers come alive.
